Elucidate Duo Chosen For 47th International Trumpet Guild Call For New Works
Elucidate Duo is proud to announce that our first commissioned piece “Buzz Buzz” by Benjamin Horne has been selected as a 2023 New Works Winner for the International Trumpet Guild. Over 100 works were submitted for this year’s competition and we were 1 of the 15 selected. We will be performing “Buzz Buzz” at ITG’s Annual Conference on June 3rd in Minneapolis, MN!
Elucidate Duo Wins First Prize in International Competition
Elucidate Duo is excited to announce that we have been awarded first place in the Spring 2022 King's Peak International Music Competition in our category! We won using our recording of our arrangement of Pur ti miro from "L’incoronatione di Poppea" by Claudio Monteverdi for flute, trumpet, and piano.

About Elucidate Duo
Elucidate is a Flute and Trumpet Duo created in Georgia featuring flutist Lorin Green and trumpeter Michael Brown. Along with their pianist Judy Cole, the duo strives to present riveting performances for an array of audiences. Elucidate also uses their platform to highlight works by POC, women, and minority composers in order to help with the diversification of the classical music repertoire. The Duo met while receiving their Bachelor Degrees at Kennesaw State University and quickly became well acquainted colleagues then eventually good friends. The two formed a duo, and together, along with their pianist Judy Cole, they have held masterclasses, recitals, and coachings throughout the Atlanta Area.
